Year built 1984
Location of boat New Orleans
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength less than 10 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 1092
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes
Gear that's been added Extensive electronics, generator, two A/C units, autohelm
Structural or complex improvements No
The boat's best features It is a true cruiser/racer, the best combination for racing and cruising.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Some leaks, sole destruction by water underneath the flooring, poor electrical wiring.
Sailing characterisitcs The large sail area makes the boat "tender", but this is an attribute on the gulf coast. This boat moves in light air when most others stand still.
Motoring characterisitcs The 45 HP Yanmar moves the boat well even in high winds. Hunter put a decent sized engine in this boat.
Liveability I lived on the boat for four years. It has excellent "liveability".
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Rarely, but when I have, the experience was a good one.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Bought from previous owner.
Other comments This is a great boat overall.
