Location of boat Huron, Ohio
The boat is sailed on The Great Lakes
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength less than 10 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2000
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? yES
Gear that's been added I have added a 2 circuit battery charger, and made few body repairs,
Structural or complex improvements I had several leaks which caused me to do a lot of resealing.
The boat's best features It is very comfortable and well layed out.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. I have water coming into the boat, I think from were the keel is attached to the haul. I will not know for sure until it comes in the fall.
Sailing characterisitcs She sail very well in most wind. The most wind I had her in was around 20 knots.
Motoring characterisitcs I have a Yanmar 21hp. She is hard to handle when moving very slow in tight places.
Liveability It is very comfortable but to live for long periods of time it will need a few changes for storing our clothes.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) The only time I have called Hunter is to find a manual. I sent money and have been waiting now for a week. They said they needed to photo copy the only copy they have on file.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any The broker is also the people that own the Marina. They are very freindly and have a ood staff. Habor North in Huron, Ohio.
