If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes.
Gear that's been added None so far.
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features Well built for a production boat. The cabin is nicely laid out. The cockpit is large and the wide side decks make for a relatively safe platform on which to climb around during a sail.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. A little more time and money should have been spent on the wiring and lighting. The mounting of the bowlight seems to have been an afterthought. Outboard bracket a little undersized. Finally, I'm suspicious of the molded-in pins which are used for attachment points for dock lines in place of the more traditional cleats.
Sailing characterisitcs Sails well at all POS. Stable, very comfortable.
Motoring characterisitcs Motors well with 5 hp o.b.
Liveability Have not yet slept aboard, but feel certain that more than two would be extremely uncomfortable for any length of time.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) Have not dealt with the manufacturer.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Private sale.
Other comments A handsome boat which has seemed to have aged well.
