Cleaning the dirt out of the old joints, wire brushing the old varnish then degreasing with white vinegar (friendlier than acétone)

I put masking tape everywhere to protect the teak steps. Then apply the sika caulking 290 DC pro generously into the joint. Before it dries scrape off the excess caulking.

Peel off the masking papier before it dries. I have done this after drying too. I get a better result when its still wet.

Finished! Cut away any spills with a sharp cutter.

This modification will stop any dirt build up and is also anti slip when entering the cabin.
