Our H42 is now 21 years old! I decided amoungst the many tasks I set myself would be an update of the cockpit. I started with a new folding Lewmar wheel- greatly improved moovement in the cockpit when at rest. Then got tired of having to bend around the binnacle instrument cluster and worked out I could use a new much narrower NAVPOD- see pic- a great investment! Finally needed a better grab rail, and although this one is a little high (see pic), it is very easy to grab from anywhere in the cockpit, so a big safety improvement. Made myself a simple teak box to hold my binoculars that simply sits down in and on the pedestal bracket- see pic.
