I was unhappy with the factory pod arrangement. It required a tube separate from the binnacle guard for support and wiring and made mounting a table a custom affair. It also left no room for a CP. I replaced it with a NavPod 1.25 binnacle guard and a pair of their instrument pods. they also provided a new top-plate for the Edson post.
