We replaced the original main halyard this spring with a 7/16 Staset X. When the wind increases beyond 12 knots apparent, the line slips in the clutch a few inches. It also does this when we apply the main cunningham. The old halyard was not stiff like the Staset X. Is it possible that the jaws of the Garhauer clutch are worn or that it needs a stronger spring? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any advice would be appreciated. We sail a 92 Hunter Legend 37.5. Thanks, Alice A.
