The plastic grip handle of my winch handle broke some time ago. Age and fatigue, which eventually gets all of us... Since I really like the winch handle (Maxwell), I replaced the grip recently with piece of hard wood tree branch from my yard. I made the replacement a bit wider in diameter than the original and so it works even better. I nice, easy, project if you happen to have a winch handle with a broken grip....
