Another 260 table modification

posted 10-07-2008 by Darwin Smith

As with many other 260 owners, I thought the table was far to large for the cabin. I started by cutting one foot off the large end of the table like many others. Then since I had the saw plugged in I cut off the left side of the table too. This gives me access to the bow and the junk I keep up there.

The bracket was cut from a piece of high density polyethylene and holds the table a lot firmer than it was before.

I fastened the table leaf back to the table with a continuous hinge and two brackets to hold it in the upright position.

Then I reattached the table trim and cleaned up the mess. We love the additional room in the cabin.
