Rainproof hatch panels

If the pictures dont show click on the broken thumbnail or refresh the page. Some owners complain that water gets into the cabin of the H26/260.

Heres a typical picture of the boards.

Some owners just install a canvas cover over the hatch.

The boards are angled to keep the water from seeping through. This generally works pretty well.

Heres a couple of approaches from H26/260 owners to ensure rainwater does not seep through the hatch boards. John Denisons solution: I used the the brass strip that bridges between linoleum floors. It is mostly flat with a bit of an edge on one side. The double sided tape is just 3/4 wide foam tape. Since doing this I have not had any water in the boat and it only cost about $6 or $8 to make. Then I made a storage rack for them, also in the knowledgebase forum. Since doing this I have had no water in the boat! Finished hatch boards

I used double sided foam tape and the screws provided.

Strips in place.

End view Heres Pat Adams Approach: I used starboard available in a variety of colors, thicknesses and sizes at West Marine. I re-used the original lexan pieces.
