Review of the Hunter 37.5 by mac and lavern mcintire

Normal wind strength 16-22 knots

Liveaboard? No  
Owner bought the boat in 2005  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? yes, although, many growing prolems with tnei model.  
Gear that's been added gps,radio's, in process of buying new sails, bimini and dodger.  
Structural or complex improvements gel coat cracks, the ports leak and retain water, poor design.  
The boat's best features Very stable under all wind conditions, engine noisy but then its a sailboat  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. port hole leak, lots of problems with my lighting, cracking of gel coat  
Sailing characterisitcs nice under all conditions , handlwes well in heavy weather  
Motoring characterisitcs load, but stable, holds five knots in all conditions  
Liveability lots of room, no storage for large items, but ample for all other needs  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) tried once, never again  
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any bought the boat from napa marine. excellent service, friendly and helpful  
Other comments we like this model, will probably upgrade to newer model in the next several years. found that the hunter held its value much better than catalina's
