Review of the Hunter 37.5 by Brent Saunders

Year built 1992
Location of boat Melbourne, Fl.
The boat is sailed on Rivers
How the boat is used Day sailing
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 1994
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely! The Hunter 37.5 is the best compromise of great cruiser and fast sailboat.
Gear that's been added GPS, Autopilot, TV, Refrigeration.
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features An aft cabin you can walk around in on a 37 ft. boat is fantastic. No acrobatics getting into bed. Easy to single hand. Sails fast and comfortable. Everything is easy to work on.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.
Sailing characterisitcs Sailed twice to the Bahamas and once to the Keys. She loves the open ocean.
Motoring characterisitcs 2 blade prop is underpowered. I am going to change to a feathering one.
Liveability There isn't a more livable 37 footer in the world.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
