Port side, the length of the strips were not long enough to go the entire length. Decided to make a change to mirror the length of the starboard side. Added a strip to cover butt joints

Glued stringers to hull with West System Six 10 adhesive in the tube. Need to keep constant pressure while drying as the hull curve and the marine wood (painted with epoxy both sides) caused an it if a challenge.
Used little hold down strips while gluing and nailing about every 5 strip

Working around the existing wood was a bit of challenge. Wanted a clean finished look. I used a dremel max with a baseboard blade to trim to find boards behind.

The beginning. The boards are 3/4 in bull nose red cedar strips from Chesapeake Light Craft in Annapolis, md. Happened upon this as an option when I picked up the marine plywood. They sell kayak kits and other small boat kits all look cool. Found out they sell 3/4 strips in 6-8 lengths. Glued strips with wood glue. Nailed to stringers about every 5 boards. Epoxy painted the backside of the strips and the sides.

The original vinyl or whatever the material is. Would not cleanup and felt strange to the touch.
